For the second year, H2 Performance Consulting (H2PC) team members have voted to forgo the traditional holiday office party and celebrations to instead serve within the communities where they work. H2PC currently has project teams working in Charleston, SC, New Orleans, LA and Pensacola, FL. Over recent years, each of these areas have been touched in some form by natural disasters and economic hardships; prompting H2PC to move beyond the walls of their aggressively growing company. In Charleston, team members spent the day volunteering with the Marines Toys for Tots program fulfilling the wish lists of children in the low country. Team members distributed donated games, Barbies, robots, tea sets, sports equipment and bicycles to ecstatic local families. The New Orleans team served the community hand in hand with the Second Harvest Food Bank, preparing back packs for local elementary school students to take home during the Christmas break. For many of the New Orleans area children, the only meal they can count on daily is that provided at school. During the month long holiday, these back packs provided by Second Harvest, become food for those not getting regular meals at home. And finally, in Pensacola, FL, team members partnered with the Salvation Army to organize a gymnasium full of toys collected through the Pensacola Marines Toys for Tots program and Angel Tree program. Thousands of dolls, balls, coloring books, blocks, and bicycles were sorted through and prepared to become the fulfillment of a child’s Christmas wish. Through each of these organizations, H2PC team members were given the opportunity to share in their community and hopefully to make a difference in one child’s life during the holiday season.
